Reflexology
Working on reflex points, the therapist can reduce tension and affect change over all the body.
Reflexology is based on the principle that there are areas, or reflex points, on the feet and hands that correspond to each organ, gland, and structure in the body. By working on these reflex areas, the therapist is able to reduce tension and affect change over all of the body. The main benefit of reflexology is relaxation. But in reducing tension, you also improve blood supply, bring about unimpeded nerve functioning, and re-establish harmony or homeostasis among all body functions. Most often reflexology sessions address the feet as it is felt that the feet are more responsive to pressure than the hands.
